KidZone focuses on family-oriented entertainment

The Hardin County Fair is creating a dedicated space strictly for families to engage in everything the fair has to offer centered around kids.

“Durant Amusements and the Woods family continue to be great partners in providing family-friendly entertainment to our guests,” said Brad Murphy, President of the Hardin County Fair Board. “This is a continuation of that partnership as well as our commitment to maintaining the fair as a family-friendly event.”

Featured in the KidZone will be:

• Win-every-time games
• Farm Comedy Show – Wednesday – Sunday
• All American Petting Zoo – Open Daily
• Bear Hollow Wood Carver – Wednesday – Saturday
• Blacksmith Show – Tuesday – Sunday
• COSI on Wheels – Friday, 1 pm
• Columbus Zoo – Thursday & Sunday, 1 pm
• Artisan Tent – Free of Charge

  • Caricature drawings
  • Balloon Twisting

As a result of the new space, some rides and other attractions may have a new location this fair season.

“We wanted to open up the midway space and change the optics of the rides,” said JR Woods, President & CEO of Durant Amusements “This way, waiting lines should be better situated. Plus, frankly, the view from our taller attractions should be just fantastic. We’re returning the main midway to how many, including my family and I, remember from years ago, full of rides and games.”
