The Hardin County Fair beef and dairy beef committees have cancelled their weigh in and tagging event originally scheduled for May 30th, 2020. In collaboration with the fair veterinarian’s office, it was determined that social distancing guidelines could not be followed. To protect the exhibitors, volunteers, and staff of the fair veterinarian’s office, the event will not be held.
Exhibitors will need to make the necessary arrangements with a veterinarian to have their animals surgically castrated, dehorned, tagged (beef feeders only) and given the appropriate vaccinations. Exhibitors will have to provide proof of vaccination by their respective project’s due date. Exhibitors received a letter via email containing more detailed information Monday.
